PAN-PACIFIC CONGRESS!.
ORGANISATION WORK. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association... (Reod. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY. Sept. 3. The Pan-Pacific Science Congress decided that the National Research Council in each of the following countries should be asked to appoint a member of the organisation committee for the next congress :Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Chile, Franre. Britain, Japan. Netherlands, Philippines, and the United States. The congress also recommended the establishment of "a permanent organisation for research in scientific problems in the Pacific regions, and that plant diseases and insect pest surveys generally should be undertaken in all countries bordering on the Pacific.
