As a sequel to a series of thefts of farm implements and a waggon from Frankton and the vicinity, Constables Doyle and Rushton have arrested two brothers, Arthur Wilding Coulter and William Alfred Coulter, at their firm between Ohaupo and Ngahinepouri. The men are fairly recent arrivals from Taranaki. The police on investigation recovered the dray and harness. While at Pirongia they found in the lining of a sofa a quantity of stolen tools. They also found coils of wire and a set of harrows, and in the swamp were hidden swingletrees, a horse cover and a new double-furrow plough. Buried in a hay stack was a milking plant. : ,
