BOYS' WEEK CAMPAIGN.
ROTARY CLUB'S INTEREST. £250 EXPENDITURE GUARANTEED. The Auckland Rotary Club yesterday decided to. guarantee expenditure up to £250 in connection with the Boys' Week Campaign, which is being organised by a 'number of interested welfare bodies in Auckland, i The object of the campaign is- to focus public attention upon the boy as the nation's greatest asset, and to stimulate interest in all activities promoting his - welfare. It is ,' intended, in particular, to aim at securing better cooperation between home, school, Church and spare-time organisations dealing with boys. It is pointed out. that 193 cities in the United States, British'. Isles, Canada, Newfoundland, and. Central America carried out a boys' week programme last year-, and the Ideal committee 'is now engaged upon -the task of drawing up a suitable . and comprehensive -programme to start the movement in Auckland. The programme will set apart each day in the week for attention to special aims . and objects. * . :
