: v The tone of the Auckland sharemarket yesterday -was quiet.: )In New ; Zealand Government securities *there was sustained demand for war loans and inscribed stock at firm rates, but few. sellers quoted. In banks, New Zealand rights changed hands at 30s 3d, more being offered at the same figure, buyers 30s. Australasias had demand at £13 9s, sellers £13 13s. For Royals (con.), 36s 'was offered. Unions had sellers at £14 12s 6d, and Nationals of New Zealand at £6 16s. In insurances New. Zealands were wanted at 30s, sellers 31s 3d. ' Nationals had sellers at 81s, and South British at 41s 6d. In miscellaneous lines, Takapuna Trams sold at 20s 3d, and Wilsons Cements at. 28s. In mining, Waihis sold at 24s 9d and 255, more being sought at 255, with late sellers at 25s 3d. Grand Junctions at 6s lOd had buyers at 6s 7d. Moanataiaris (2d call) had sellers at 2s Bd, buyers 2s 4d. New Waiotahis at 9d were looked for at 6£d. .
