It is believed that an influential and substantial minority, if not'an actual j majority of Ministers, have already come j to the conclusion that further correspon- j dence with France is useles?., and that the British Note should l be published. The more moderate view in. the Cabinet, however, inclines to notifying formally . of the Cabinet's attitude, leaving M. Poincare to reply or not as he thinks fit. If Britain decides to send a sep-1 »rat« reply to ' Germany some sort of a j way must be left for France to associate) herself with British policy if she de- . sires. • .j i It is expected ;. that the Ministers will • . hold a further conference to-morrow before the Prime Minister, VMr, .Stanley ; Baldwin, makes : his statement in the House of Commons. ' • "'•* •ij The Daily Telegraph, in ■an editorial article, states:—"We are convinced that it is the wish of people, both here ' an d in the Dominions, that Mr, Baldwin shall speak frankly and fearlessly. The Daily Chronicle : says that France is being asked 1 to agree to publication of the inter-Allied correspondence. U sh« refuses Mr. Baldwin will probably publish the British documents. _ . O The Daily Express says that Britain • must send some sort of a reply to Ger- ' many, but it understands that the reply already drafted is useless in view of the French attitude.
