The annual ~ meeting of St. n David's Church : was held on Wednesday evening, the Rev.(D. C. '■■ Herron i presiding over a good attendance.
The annual report showed that the membership was 471, an increase of 31 > for the year. '/'.;( The / affairs :: of the / church( continued to flourish, and the whole; of ( the property of the church was free from encumbrance. ' - i ~' •'
■;:'. The. reports ,of various /organisations showed that these were in a healthy condition. The building fund stood at £7371; and it was hoped a ;'■ forward j movement would be made , shortly. Scott presiding. .■ - The session report reviewed _, a very successful . year, the having : been well attended, particularly in the morn'ings, when; a great number of young people attended. v The average attendance at communion was 116. with a membership of 187, 18 having i been added by examination, and 17 by certificate, while four names ; were removed. \' Week-night services ; : were conducted for part bf the year, ■ and ; monthly services had been regularly held at the Veterans' Home. ;; Reference was made to the death of Mr. Samuel Barr, who for over, 20 years was superintendent of the Sunday-school. Mr. Banhad just previously retired - from his ; position in the , Sunday-school, and . his - place was taken by his son, Mr.. Douglas Barr; Reports from the Bible classes, Sundayschool. P.
