THE RUSSELL DIVORCE.
WIFE'S APPEAL DISMISSED. CASE MAY GO TO LORDS. A- and N.Z. . LONDON. July 24. The appeal ' of' Mrs. Hugo Russell again&i the decree nisi in divorce granted to her husband was dismissed. The - Master; of the Rolls said that he could see no valid complaint against the Judge's summing, and no principle > on which the husband's evidence of relations with his wife could be excluded. Mr. Justice Warrington pointed out that this was not a legitimacy case, and the verdict of the jury would not be evidence on the question of legitimacy of Mrs. Russell's child. The appeal was dismissed, .with costs against the wife's separate estate. ' It is expected thiifc the case will go to the House of Lords.
