MARKET IN AMERICA. SHIPMENTS TO NEW ; YORK. The favourable reputation that New Zealand butter has attained .in .Canada and the United States is likely to be enhanced by an. appointment mentioned, in its _ issue of May 18, by the Trade Bulletin, published in Montreal. The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Association has appointed Messrs. Lpvell and Christmas .as its exclusive selling agents in Canada and the, United. States. , Tho firm-is opening an office in New York, and instead of taking New Zealand butter to England for reshipment to- Atlantic ports, ■ will now have ■ direct consignments to New York on steamers travelling by the Panama Canal route. The cargo will be distributed from New York. through the United States • and Canada. It is proposed to arrange for, fortnightly consignments to the extent of probably 20,000 boxes a month, of which approximately 20 per cent, will reach Montreal.
