IDLE AND DISORDERLY. ONE MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT. A charge of being idle and disorderly] and of J having insufficient lawful meant of support was preferred against William George Gallott, aged 60, who appeared before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., in the Police Court on Saturday.; Sub-Inspector Till stated that accused had given himself up at the watch-house on the previous /-evening., -.He had been sleeping out for some time. The magistrate remarked that Gallott would be better off in jg»0l, <-nd , c .sentence of one .month was imposed. A SERIOUS CHARGE, i Anthony Francis Smith was charged that on or • about \ May 25, at' Karapiro, near Cambridge, he did commit incest with his daughter. He was remanded to appear at Hamilton on Wednesday. TWO CASES REMANDED. ,' Hannah Ayi.es was charged with having attempted to commit suicide on July 1(1 at Otahuhu. She was remanded until Tuesday. " ~'. William James Withey. who was charged with having failed to comply with an order for maintenance for the support of his wife, was remanded to appear at Wanganui on, Friday.
