Eleven players, representing the Hamilton Chess Club, visited Te Aroha to-day and met the members of the Te Aroha Club.; Hamilton won by six games, to three. Two games were not finished. The results were as follow, . the Hamilton players being mentioned first: — Fenwick beat G. K. Hamilton, A Gifford beat A L. McDonald, E. J. Stevenson beat W. Perrott, M. A. Going beat J. Cochrane/ P. E. Stevens beat J. Bones, H. Snaith beat P. A. Swney, P. B-. Woodhead lost to A. J. Burrows, E. A. Butt lost to G. Gilchrist, R. Mears lost to F. McDonald. The games played between F. Bullock and F. L. Kenrick and W. J. Stevens and C. E. Hayward were not finished.
