Word received from the South states that Happy Voyage ia likely to finish his racing career at Addington next month, as orrangements have been made for tlw champion to tn&e up stud duties after the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's August meeting. ; v That good trotter. Whispering Willie, has been blistered and turned out for the winter. He will resume work in the early sprinc and bo prepared for the November meeting it Addi>on.
Logan . Spec, a four-year-old t mare by Logan Pointer »ut of Chief Spec, is a recent addition to J. Bryce's team. . Reports from the South ©tate that J. Bryoe vail have a strong team of horses at the Poverty Bay meeting., and he should experience a profitable time at that gathering. *
A brace of highly-bred horses in the shape of Man War and El Carbine are to be at the services of breeders this season at the Dilworth Stud Farm, Otahuhu. Mr. J. R. Cornesn , has purchased the p?cin™ filly Jean Audubon, and the daughter of Great Audubon will form one of J. Bryce'B team for the Poverty Bay meeting. The Canterbury trainer, .N. I. Price, is worldnK a rising three-year-old fills by Hardy Wilkes from Lady Patricia, who is j-ntrased in the 1524 New Zealand Trotting Stakes.
J. Paul has taken Oraararigi, who has had a lengthy spell, in hand again, and the speedy pacer is working in preparation tor the sprins campaign.
