N.Z. WINE INDUSTRY.

EXCELLENT LOCAL PRODUCT, The exhibit of Mr. A. A. Corbau of a variety of locally-made wines of undoubted excellence demonstrates the success which has attended this industry under expert management. The wines are made from New Zealand grapes, grown on the Mount Lebanon vineyards at Henderson. This famous vineyard was established over 20 years ago, and is now the recognised leading vineyard of New Zealand, so that in addition to securing a superior article, consumers have the double satisfaction of supporting a local industry. An unlimited number of unsolicited testimonials pay eulogistic tribute to the high quality of the wines sold-. These communications , include a letter from the manager of the Auckland Hospital to the effect that the Invalid port and sherry supplied to that institution for over 10 years have proved most suitable and beneficial, always - being of the same high quality. Nothing can be more convincing as to the quality of any ? product than repeat orders extending over many years, and the repeated expressions of pleasure and delight on the part of regular users of it. Consumers of Corhan's Wines are now numbered by the thousand. Mr. Alf. J. Parker, # F.C.S., public analyst for Auckland, visited Mr. A. A. Corban's Mount Lebanon vineyards at Henderson on April 30 last and personally took samples from the casks of the following •■• wines:—Red, port (invalid), sherry, claret, special reserve port, and extra special sherry. He subsequently analysed them, and found all the wines to be pure, fermented grape wines, of exceptional quality and flavour. He added:— "It is difficult to recommend ; any particular one; they are all : first-class wines. For invalid uses, the invalid port, sherry, and special reserve port are particularly suitable. All the wines are well matured, and free from harmful substances."

The wines are supplied in one dozen quart bottles, equal to two gallons, the prices being:—Port (invalid), 423; claret, 425; red, 48s; sherry, 48s; sherry, extra special, 60s; and port, special reserve, 60s, freight paid.
