THE STRANDED WAITANGI

REFLOATING PROBABLE.

VESSEL IN GOOD POSITION.

r BY . TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PATEA. Thursday. There is very little change in ■ the • position of tho steamer Waitangi, though she appears to'.have been driven a few feet nearer the wall. Practically tho whole of her cjirgo, which consisted chiefly of chaff, with a little general merchandise, has been salvaged. The vessel lies in a good position, sheltered by tho wall from the south and on a soft sandy bed. With a little good fortune there should be no difficulty in floating her off when the tides again make.
