INDISCREET MINISTER.
A. and N.Z. LONDON,' May 9. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent at Berlin says that a curious commentary en the present situation is furnished dv the unveiling of war memorials at Doberitz and Spandau in celebration of the ex-Cro vn Prince's birthday. Marshal von Hindenburg, in a speech, said: "With joy and pride ; we think in fidelity, love, and veneration of our most.. gracious Kaiser, King, and lord, our illustrious leader in our superhuman struggle for the honour and existence of the Fatherland." , . ■ . '" Herr Gossler, Minister for Defence, as a comical anti-climax, said: "We concentrate in a vow of the most faithful fulfilment of our duty to the German nation, State, and Republic." , The correspondent adds that Herr Gessler has long played with reactionary fire, and now has burned his fingers. There will be a great rumpus over his participation in the Monarchists' demonstration. ' ..
