SANITARY INSPECTORS.
ADDRESS ON INFECTION.
The Auckland centre of the New Zealand Sanitary Inspectors' Association met on Wednesday evening. The president, Mr. H. Paul], presided over an attendance of about nineteen sanitary inspectors from different local authorities in and around Auckland. The meeting is the first of many to be j conducted during the winter season, for I which a series of lectures on various subI jects in connection with the work of sanitary inspectors has been arranged. The I first lecture was given By Dr. G. De Give j Lowe on " Infection, and the Natural Fighting Powers Possessed by the Human ! Body," with lantern illustrations. The ! subject was of interest to the in- ] specters, and the lecturer dealt very minutely with the various phases of I bacteria, their growth and influence on i the human body. LIFE IS-—?
