METEOROLOGICAL.
TO . DAY'S FORECAST.
GOVERNMENT REPORT.
.The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows:—Present indications are for moderate to strong north-westerly to south-westerly winds; weather cloudy to overcast and misty at times, with rain in many parts. The barometer has a falling tendency, but is due to rise after from 24 to 36 hours.
MR. K. K. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. K. K. Wragge at seven clock last evening:—The Antarctic disturbance Haalah is still the chief operating factor over most parts of the Dominion. The tropical depression that was in evidence yesterday has backed off and is replaced by moderately high pressure. This means that further unsettled and rainy weather is likely, especially south from the central districts of the North Island, but north therefrom conditions should be somewhat better, with intervals of clearing sky. Winds between north, north-west, and west, later veering southwesterly. Sea moderating.
