WHAU BRIDGE SCHEME.
AVONDALE COUNCIL'S VIEW.'
FURTHER INFORMATION WANTED.
The proposal to erect a bridge over the Whau Creek near Avondale to provide a short route from Te Atatu to the city, was considered by the Avon dale Borough Council on Wednesday. A resolution was passed to the effect that the council could not commit itself to any scheme until it was known whether the Main Highways Board would take over such bridge arid road as a main highwiy, and until further details of the scheme itself are a^ilable.
