ONE TREE HILL ROAD BOARD.
The Ono Tree Hill ' Road Board i, met ■« J' last evening, the chairman, Mr. R. G. Clarke, presiding. There were also present Messrs. T. Rowe, C. Mcintosh, C.Purchas, H. K. Clayton, Paterson. It was announced that 17 building permits, 11 of them for dwellings, representing a total cost of £8210, had been issued during February. 1 The engineer, Mr. J. Dawson, reported on the condition of Hayden Avenue, and recommended that £80 be spent in repairing the worst places. This was agreed to. f:: ■>' A bonus of £100 was granted the en- ' \ gineer in respect of the extra work he " had done during the past 12 months. The clerk reported that he had called the attention of the Gas Company to the number of street gas lamps which i were not lighted. - V, ! The trouble arising from boys climbing up and down the roof of the reservoir at One Tree Hill was brought forward try ! the engineer. After some discussion it was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the engineer, with power to V' act.
