Wads"-orth, Assistant-Secretary to the- Unite' States Treisury, who represents the United States at the conference which is discussing the cost of the Allied occupation of the Ruhr, replying to the Allies, rejected the proposal to ■writ") off the value of the German ships seized by the United States, but accepted as a principle for discussion the refunding by the United States of their value in 12 yearly instalments.
