R.M.S. MAKTJEA AT SYDNEY. The Royal mail steamer Makura arrived at Sydney from Auckland at 8 a.m. yester»ay- She is scheduled to leave Sydney on March 29 for Auckland and Vancouver. She is dm> here on Easter Monday, and will resume her voyage the following day.

THE MOERAKI. The Union Company's inter-colonial steamer Moeraki has 'been delayed. Her departure from Wellington for Melbourne direct has been now fixed for April 3. On the following trip she will leave Wellington on April 16 for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. At the latter port the vessel will be docked before proceeding to Melbourne.

MAHIA CLEARED PANAMA. L. D. Nathan, Ltd.. have received advice that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahia, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, cleared Panama on March 13 in continuation of her voyage. The vessel sailed from Liverpool on February 24, and is due at Auckland about April 4. Her cargo is for discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She will also load at those ports, as well as Port Chalmers. Timaru and Lyttelton. Wellington will be the Mania's final port, and she will be despatched from there on May 8 for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe.

. RARANGA DUE TO-MORROW. The Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Raranga, en route from London to Auckland, has reported by wireless that she will arrive to-morrow and that all is well en board. Her cargo is for discharge at Auokland, Wellington and New Plymouth. She will also load at the ports mentioned, as well as at Wanganui. Port Chalmers ai.d Lyttelton. Subsequently the veesel will return to Wellington to complete loading, and will be despatched from theie about April 24 for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. L. D. Nathan. Ltd., are the local agents for the vessel.

THE CANADIAN TRANSPORTER. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Transporter arrived from Vancouver last evening and berthed at the Western Wharf. The vessel loaded at Frazer River. Chemainua, and Vancouver. She cleared the last-named port on February 18. . .Honolulu was called at on March 2. and after taking aboard oil fuel for her own use the vessel resumed her voyage the same day. The weather was fainy fine until March 10, when the Transporter reached the outer edge of a hurricane. For seven days afterwards conditions were somewhat stormy. The winu blew with the force of a fresh gale from various directions, being accompanied .by frequent torrential rain squalls and a high, contused swell. The steamer gradually worked her way from the storm area, but nearins the 2s ew Zealand coast strong westerly winds were experienced. Cargo to be discharged at Auckland conists of 600,000 feet of timber and about 50 tons of genera) merchandise. NORTHERN . COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The weather on the west coast improved •utneiently yesterday morning to allow the Rarawa to cross the Manukau bar for New Plymouth, and the Arapawa for Waikato Heads. The Rarawa had been delayed inside the bar since the previous night, and the Arapawa since Saturday night. The Huia, which left at 6 o'clck last evening for Kaipara, was not expected to cross the bar until this evening. The Aupouri was bar-bound at Hokianga and it was not known yesterday when she would sail for Onehunga. In the meantime her departure from Onehunga for Raglan and Kawhia has been postponed until today, and her departure from Onehunga for Hokianga until Friday.
