N.S.W. LABOUR PARTY.
. -♦-■ ; — SPLIT OVER LEADERSHIP. MR. DOOLEY AND MR. McGIRR. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. March 10. The executive of the Australian Labour Partv elected Mr. J. J. McGirr leader of the New South Wales Labour Party, as a counterblast to the action of the Parliamentary Labour caucus in passing a motion expressing renewed confidence in Mr. J. Dooley. Mr. McGirr is the only member of the party who was nominated. The executive has given the supporters of Mr. Dooley seven days to signify their acceptance of Mr. McGirr. It is anticipated a serious split will occur in the interim.
