CHILD MURDER CHARGE.
♦ CASE AGAINST COOPERS. ANOTHER MISSING BABY. HOUSEMAID'S STRANGE STORY. [Bt TEMORAFH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON". Saturday. The hearing of the charges against Cooper and his wife waa continued this morning. Beatrice Irene Beadle, housemaid, said ehe wet Cooper in Dunedin about four years ago. Later she went to live at Cooper's place at Island Bar, and, -with ■the knowledge of Mrs. Cooper, was familiar with him, Mrs. Cooper saying she had no objection. Witness had a child in Lyttelton in 1920. The child was left at Chri*tchurcii, Cooper saying ho would pay {or it. The child was later brought back to Wellington, and then Cooper said he bad made arrangement* for someone to pdopt it Witness said aha went away for an hour, and on her return was told the people had called, and that sho wa3 not to worry; it was quite all right, and the best thing had been done in the circumstances. Since then she had not seen her baby. The Court adjourned at mid-day till Monday.
