CHINA AND JAPAN.
THE TWENTY-ONE DEMANDS. ABROGATION SOUGHT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.25 p.m.) PEKING, March 10. China today requested Japan to fix a date for discussion of the return of Port Arthur and abrogation of the Twenty-One Demands Treaty of 1915, -which is characterised as the greatest obstacle to cordial relations between the two countries. The Chinese Parliament in January passed a resolution asking the Government to demand the abrogation of the treaty.
