Hydrocianic acid gas, used by the Chicago Health Department for fumigating a restaurant situated in a dwelling house, escaped through an opening cut for a water pipe and entered the living quarters of a family of six. who were asleep. The • entire family, which included three generations, was fatally poisoned.
