ONEHUNGA BOROUGH.
The Onehunga Borough Council met last evening. There were present, the Mayor, Mr. J. Park, and Messrs. W. N. Mcintosh, J. Macklow, R. Ainsworth, J. E. Cowell, E. Morton, and C. 0. Baker. The Manukau County Council agreed to pav the expense of the Onehunga fire brigade attending a fire at Mangere, conditionally that it is accepted by the council without prejudice. In future the Onehunga fire brigade must accept responsibility as far as expenses are concerned, for attending a fire in the county unless special arrangements are made. The Government is to be asked to vest a section of land in Grotto Street in the council. The vacant piece of land at the Waikaraka Cemetery is to be laid off for burial plots for Anglicans and Roman Catholics. The name of Green Lane, off Trafalgar Street, is to be changed to View Avenue
