THE JUMPER DOOMED.
RETURN TO THE BLOUSE. ~ LONDON. Feb. 23. "Old styles for new" seems to be the keynote of fashion's latest decree, perhaps due to King Tutenkhamon's influence, though Russia and the Italian Fascisti also inspire designs. The outstanding feature, according to Paris Correspondents, is that jumpers are doomed to be supplanted by a "trinity costume," which heralds a return to the old-fashioned blouse and the coat and skirt. The blouse will be made in heraldic fashion. The over-jacket will hang loosely like an artist's smock or a smoking jacket. Petticoats also will return to favour not frilled like in Victorian days, but soft, clinging, fragile, and scalloped and in jazjt colours.
