UNDEFENDED DIVORCE.
TWO DECREES GRANTED. Two undefended divorce suits were heard by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supremo Court yesterday. Decrees nisi were granted in each case, to be moved absolute in threo months. Ethel May Irwin (Mr. Singer), who petitioned for divorce from Alfred William Andrew Irwin, stated that she was married on September 18, 1920; there were no children. She remained with her husband for about two months, but they had lived apart ever since. She met her husband last December, and he admitted misconduct. Through a solicitor the alleged misconduct was admitted. Alleging that his wife had lived openly in England with another man, James Mellow (Mr. Singer) petitioned for divorce from Isabella Mellor. He stated that the marriage took place in 1901 in England, and there were two children. In 1913 a man came to their house, and petitioner's objections were of no avail. Finally, for the sake of the children, he left home, taking them with him. ' Corroborative evidence was given by a man from the same English town as petitioner came from.
