MYSTERIOUS DEATH.
BODY IN THE THAMES. DOCTORS BAFFLED. . LONDON, Feb. 20. Mysterious circumstances surround the death of Mr. William Clark, a wealthy estate agent, of Manor Park, whose body was found in the Thames, near Purfleet. It had been in the river for from four to six weeks.
Doctors found there was no water in the lungs, and concluded that Clark was dead before he reached the water, but were unable to state the cause of death Several rings had been taken from the body.
The jury returned an open verdict, urging that the police should investigate " an extraordinarily mysterious '■ase."
