WOOL PRICES DECLINE.
FOURTH WELLINGTON SALE.
ALL GRADES AFFECTED.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Friday-
At the fourth wool sale to-night an all-round drop of Id to 2d per lb. was recorded in prices compared with the January sale. The heavy catalogues of wool being offered in the Dominion during February had a tendency to make many of the buyers disinterested. It is thought that the prico may be forced to a lower level.
The quality of Merino wool was inferior to previous offerings, and finer wools depreciated fully l£d per lb. Low, coarse, and inferior wools suffered to the extent of fully 2d per lb.
