PARTIES TO A STRIKE.
FIREMEN FINED £5 EACH. [by telegraph.—press association.] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. Charged with being parties to an illegal strike on the Wanaka in November last, six members of the crew were each fined £5 at the Magistrate's Court to-day. Mr. Fielder, inspector of awards, said when the vessel got out into the stream at Lyttelton on the way' to Wellington the firemen refused to go further. The Magistrate: It was very fortunate the vessel was not outside the three-mile limit. 1 :
