FIRE AT ORUA BAY.
4-ROOMED HOUSE BURNED. OCCUPANT'S HURRIED EXIT. A four-roomed house at Orua Bay, occupied by Mr. W. Louden, was ' burned to the ground on Monday night. Mr. Louden, who was the only occupant, was awakened by the fire about 10.30 p.m., and was forced to make a hurried exit in his. night attire. Nothing was saved from the ouilding. A- fire occurred -early this morning in a house owned and occupied by Thomas Young, in Hine Street. The family escaped in their night attire. The furniture was destroyed and the interior ,of the house was burned out. The insurances total £1150, the damage being nearly £1000. .
