WAIHI BOROUGH FINANCE.
MINING REVENUE DUE. til* XBUKIEAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] "WAIHI. Tuesday. So far no information has been received from the Prime Minister regarding the remission of moneys held by the Public Works Department in connection with the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers improvement scheme. The Mayor this: morning despatched a further wire urging upon Mr. Massey the importance of early relief to the Waihi Borough, as the payments of large amounts due for interest will shortly accrue, and it will be absolutely - essential for the borough to have at least some portion of its mining revenue to work upon. Otherwise, it will not be possible for the borough to carry on its civic functions.
