S. AUSTRALIA'S OMISSION. STATE PREMIER INDIGNANT. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Feb. 18. The Federal Cabinet met yesterday and discussed the preliminary business. It decided that the House shall meet on February 28. Sir H. N. Barwell, Premier of South Australia, states that he considers South Australia has been badly treated in the formation of the Federal Ministry. The slight will cause . the utmost disgust. The treatment of the State has been absolutely outrageous.
COUNTRY PARTY IN N.S.W. TO RETAIN INDEPENDENCE. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Feb. 13. It is reported that the agreement between the Federal National J and Country Parties will be followed by similar action in the New South Wales Assembly, but Mr. Bruxner, Leader of the New South Wales Country Party, scouts the suggestion, and threatens: militant action next session if the Nationalist Government fails to satisfy the Country Party's demands. SENATOR MILLEN ILL. A SUDDEN BREAKDOWN. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Feb. 13. Senator E. D. Millen, ex-Minister for Defence, is seriously ill. He collapsed on Friday, and his condition is causing anxiety.
