SUPERANNUATION GRANTS. ' At a meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board held at Wellington, j 33 contributors, retired under section 35; of the Act, by reason of age or length of service, were granted allowances of » total of £9208 per annum, «.nd five contributors, retired, as medically unfit, were granted allowances totalling i 3429 per an- j num. The board refused to grant an allowance in one case, and in two cases consideration was postponed. Under the j Finance Act, 1921, the age and period of J service required to qualify for an annuity j were reduced, and seven contributors were j retired thereunder, with annual allowances aggregating ■ £1216 '
