WOMAN IN FLAMES.
A FATAL CORN CURE. . BATHED FEET IN BENZINE Before retiring one ' evening recently, Mrs. Rebecca Allan,' housekeeper of ' the single men's quarters at ' Cullinlarlngo station, New South Wales, bathed her feet in benzine as a cure 1 for corns' and tired' feet. She walked into her ; bedroom, struck a match to light , the candle, when her clothing ignited. ' The woman's screams attracted the attention of .an ■ employee, who unsuccessfully attempted to extinguish _ the flames with his hands. While he ; went for a rug the burning woman ran round the building screaming for help, /and another «jmployeewent to her assistance and threw a blanket round her. The flames were extinguished, but: not:;! before the woman was practically burned 1 .-.- all-over the body, only : her head, face, and feet being untouched.
