CHRTSTCHURCH. Thursday.
The "Culverden-Christchurch train ran into a motor-car driven by Mr. Hugh Henderson, a returned soldier settler, at a level crossing near Ashley township this evening. The car was struck with great force and swung right round and hurled against a fence. It is a complete wreck.
Mr. ?■ and his father, who was riding with him, scrambled out of the wreckage without injury other than a few bruises and scratches on the face. The car was only bought a week ago. It was insured in the Yorkshire office for £350..
