An enthusiastic; meetinglt was held last evening in the Town Hall by Dr. French [ E.' Oliver, to inaugurate the New , : Zealand 1 Evangelistic , Society. ;; Thev ; society .> is based on ah the : fundamental doctrines of the j.Bible' that, have hitherto ..been ; . the core of the : testimony of • all evangelical churches, "arid" as, its object a more aggressive defence, of the faith once delivered to ' the saints, and a'-. more> urgent proclamation* of„ the-0;ospel '• throughout New Zealand;J Members Of all "' denominations 'indicated their support.,- . . Dr. Oliver spoke on "The Days of Noah." At,the conclusion of the address those present unanimously requested that the : mission continue into '.' this, \ the fifth, week.
