TWO APPOINTMENTS MADE.

; The Auckland ; Electric < Power i Board met yesterday, the chairman, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, /; presiding. /' There were also present: \ Messrs. M. J. Bennett, :S. Irwin Crookes, F. G. Clark, T. Bloodworth, H. T. Goldie, S. J. Harbutt, E. H. Potter, J. Rowe, J. Dempsey, J.; Park and L. Joll.
/ Mr. 11. H.. Ba./ley was appointed as-sistant-engineer out of a/ number of applicants. He is at present tramways engineer . and manager -; at New Plymouth. •// Mr. . E. Hutchinson,- of Wanganui, ; was appointed engineer salesman,/a; position created \ for the purpose of increasing the financial '-'. returns. The successful ; appli-: cant recently constructed the new, steam power station at Wanganui. - The ■ tender ,of Mr. George Sutherland, to / the amount ■of £11,300, being the lowest, for • the ' erectioji of a■' store, v was accepted, the second lowest tender being l retained. . - --.
