Griffiths, aged 39, a married man, with four children, was found dead on Sunday morning. He was employed as a sharemilket by Mr. Thos. Curran, of Te Aroha Wes*; and had been in. poor health for some months. * He had lately returned from a holiday in the Wellington . Province, and though depressed, he seemed somewhat improved in health. On Sunday morning he rose early and got a cup of tea, returning to bed again. An hour later his wife missed'him and search was made. He was found in front of the house, lying down, with a bottle of lysol beside him. Help was immediately obtained, but he succumbed. Griffiths left a note which read: "Goodbye, dear wife and children. Don't think too hard of me. I can't get better. I am finished^"
