'' "■' '■■'--/' /:- : - '''■' ; BOTH VEHICLES DAMAGED, A collision' between two motor-cars occurred on the East : Coast Road, Devonport, at about 10 ,a.m. yesterday. A : . large car, owned; by;; Mr. L. ; Adams,: Of Devonport, was"being-/driven -to,;Waiwera with & : party of tourists.' When passing , ; a- corner a smaller car belonging to a Mount Albert resident came -suddenly from tluv side road, with" the result, that , a collision occurred, the larger vehicle being "considerably ; damaged., One of the springs, a lamp, and- the mudguards were smashed, ' while the steering rod was bent, and the engine frame and radiator were v damaged. The: glass fittings on tlio : other "car were - aft : damaged. A passenger in the latter car Was thrown' out and, slightly injured.by ':• flying;pieces of glass.-^ None of those in the • larger ;;; ear were .hurt, but .another cur, had /to; bo.procured to : convey • them to, their destination. -By -a,-coincidence the smaller ■ car .:. was : concerned in a -- similar, accident at' Dcvoirjiort some.;.time . ago;-' on which ; occasion' Mr. Adams was ijilsb riding in,: the car that was struck.
