THE WINTER EXHIBITION.
JOINT CONTROL ARRANGED.
INDUSTRIAL CO-OPERATION.
An important decision, assuring that the forthcoming Winter Exhibition in Auckland will be thoroughly representative, not only of the primary industries, but also of the secondary industries of the province, has been made by the A., and P. Association. At a meeting of the executive of that, body yesterday the president, Mr. E. D. McLennan, reported that a conference of representative* of the association and of the Industrial Association had agreed to the appointment of a combined committee to manage the Winter Exhibition, the Industrial Association to take'a share in the financial control. Mr. A. D. Stanley was to be secretory and Mr. J. Findlay organiser. Mr. McLennan said that with the help of the leading business men in organisation work the exhibition should prove a great success. It was reported that the schedules lor the dairy section at the exhibition show 18 classes, with prize money totalling £350. The root crop schedules were stated to be ready, while the education schedule will be available in a few days. The latter section will be much larger and more comprehensive than that of last year. The following were appointed to represent the A. and P. Association on the combined committee of management of the Winter Exhibition Messrs. M. G. McArthur, H. Grierson. J. P. Kalaugher, B. H. Andrew, S. Hodge, H. Brown, W. W. Massey, S. W. Lnxford, C. A. Fawcett, S. Hamlin.
A request from the Auckland Kennel Club for space at the exhibition • was referred to the exhibition committee. Mr. H. P. Macuiro was appointed auditor to the association.
