N.S.W. LAND SETTLEMENT.
ADVISER FROM CALIFORNIA. 8000 NEW HOLDINGS PLANNED A. and N.Z. ' SYDNEY, Jan. 11. The New South Wales Government has invited Professor Ehvood Mead, of the University of California, to visit New South Wales in an advisory capacity- in regard to land settlement and land development. It is believed that the Government's land policy will make available 8000 new i holdings and that 25,000 new settlers, together with their families, and those engaged in the necessary, secondary industries, will add 40Q ft ooo to the populai tion. .-:•'-■'
