NEWS OF SON'S DEATH. [be telegraph.—press association.] CHBISTCHHRCH. Thursday. Soon after;■. receiving the . news ,tltie morning of her son's death in a shunting accident, Mrs. Hannah Talis Boniface, who resides in Sydenham, died of shock. : Mr. John Boniface, the son. Was killed at Lyttelton' last night, arid this morning another son, -who is Jiving with his mother, went into her bedroom and,told her the news. She received a severe shock and "in less than an hour died ; It had been known for some time that Mrs. Boniface had a weak heart. At the-inquest a- verdict : was returned that death was due to shock : associated with organic heart disease.
