OCTOPUS AND GIRL.
An. unpleasant experience befell a' girl about 18 years of age while, bathing at Friendly', Bay, North Otago, last Saturday, as the result of the appearance of an octopus. The devilfish made an attempt to clasp the limbs of the unfortunate girl, who, however, was rescued from harm by a lady bather in the vicinity. .
