STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM
EDEN ELECTION PETITION. « The petition against the. election of the Hon. C. J. Parr as member for Eden was lodged yesterday with the returning officer for* the district. Mr. J. H. Carr. Tiie petitioner, John Pool, of Mount Albert, alleges that strawberries and cream were supplied to ladies at meetings . at Glen Eden on November 25 and A .von data on November 30, and that this constituted a corrupt, or in the alterna- , tive, an"illegal practice. . The sum of , £200, or a bond for that amount, as ', security for expenses, has to be lodged within three days, and the petition will ] then be forwarded to the Chief Justice. ;
