SOLACE SOUGHT IN DRINK. ALLEGED THREAT OF SUICIDE A story of a disappointment -in love, coupled with, .a.- threat to-commit suicide, was unfolded in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. J/' W.' ' Poynton, S.M., when Ernest George Bovis pleaded guilty to a charge of having been helplessly drunk,' 'the evidence was .to the effect that accused had been keeping company with a young girl, who had decided she did not "want to have any thing more to do with. him. He had purchased a razor, and had threatened to commit suicide with-it. ..lie was found in Belgium Street, crying on the side of the road, and with the razor in his possession. Accused was remanded for medical attention. ~ .
