A NURSERY RHYME PARTY
There is nothing the children love more than dressing up, and lor this reason the " nursery rhyme party" always means , splendid fun. The little guests do not come to tho party dressed up, this part of the business must be quite a surprise. After tea, tell them that each must dress up in the character of some nursery rhyme. See that there is plenty of material .available in the way of rugs, old bed covers, and table covers, sheets, curtains, old garments, etc., and that there is a supply of cardboard and crinkled and gold and silver paper, too. Let the children do the rest, It is surprising how much ingenuity the little ones will bring to bear upon their impersonations. "Little Red Riding Hood." " The Queen of Hearts," " Little Boy nine," " Little Miss Muffet," " Jack and Jill," " Babes in the Woods,'' and all characters which lend themselves to easy dressing. By the way, if you have an illustrate 3 nursery rhyme book to give them to refer to, it will help them a great deal. First, second;, and third prizes should be awarded for the best-dressed characters; they can be quite simple and inexpensive ones, such as boxes of chocolates and toys.
