Stanley Hill, brother of Clem Hill, the ex-South Australian cricketer, partnered Kay in the Herts Gold Alliance eighteen holes four-ball medal competition at Cassiobury Park. They returned a score of 70, being two behind the winners. The Daily Telegraph describes Hill as one of the hardest hitters of a golf ball in the world and the most splendidly erratic. He sometimes outdrove Ray.
