Wilson, were in attendance, but nothing occurred' their interference. The Hamilton Municipal Band enlivened proceedings with a » excellent musical programme. Paddington Green was favourite. Tinokaha ran to the front from the barrier, and held that position to the back hurdle, where he fell. Passing the stand first time the -positions were Wharepoa. Mimiwhangata, and Banogue. Rounding the back Wharepoa led. with Hushman and Paddington Green his nearest attendants. At the polo stand Paddington Green moved up to first place,, and neanng the straight Hushman came' titrongly. but was unable to overtake Paddiineton Green, who won by seven lengths. Wharepoa and Banogue six lengths away, dead heated for third place. Mimiwhangata fell at the last hurdle. Time. 3min 44s

After a. lot of trouble at the utart a good despatch wa3 effected. Regent was the first to detach himself from the bunch, but did not retain the position. Passrtg the etand Infante led, followed by Tinohoro and Regent. At the back Tinohoro took charge, but was displaced at the polo stand by Forest Gold. At the distance Infante made a successful challente, and, despite strong opposition, won by one and a-quarter lengths. Gold Ki? mv second two lengths in front of Bedford. Time. 2m 18s.

Gold Bud was favourite. Rounding the back Mangawhero, was at the head of the bunch, but at the top General Rose caught the leader. Lord Star, Gold Bud, and Gidgi lying handy. In the run up the straight Lord Star was JUit able to 1 beat Gidgi by a ne.k, the same distance separating the third horss, Gold Bud. Time, lm 365.
