EXTENSION TO QUEENSLAND. The. Government of Queensland has cabled to the Prime Minister asking him to make arrangements for the training of an Australian . nurse at the KaritancHarris Hospital, Dunedin, with a view to her initiating systematic infant welfare work in Brisbane, The request has been communicated to Dr. Truby King, who stated last evening that he will gladly comply with the Queensland Government's request. He remarked that with this extension, infant welfare work on New Zealand lines will have been introduced in al! the eastern States of Australia, centres being already established in Sydney, Melbourne, Launceston, and Hobart.
